Going Forward with GF Piping Systems
How do you take something as unassuming as piping systems – usually out of sight behind walls – and turn it into an exciting story for those unacquainted with the reknown Swiss brand or product? That was the challenge we undertook when creating a corporate film for GF Piping Systems, head- quartered in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. To infuse some zest into the film, we delved deep, uncovering parallels and captivating case studies to weave the story of GF Piping Systems together with the creatives at Make Studio UK. Leading the charge was Alessandra, a spirited American actress who had previously collaborated with Georg Fischer.
She not only took the spotlight as our main character but also lent her voice, infusing the corporate narrative with curiosity, fun, and entertainment. In our first production phase, the camera rolled as we captured Alessandra in action alongside the bustling employees of GF Piping Systems. One standout moment was an introductory shot, where our leading lady took an unexpected backward plunge right out of the frame after her opening statement. It was cool how it turned out! In our second production phase, we turned our lens toward the products themselves, embarking on creative cinematography with probe lenses and studio lighting. The journey was a great collaboration, with our heroine, Ale, the creatives at Make Studio UK, and the dynamic GF Piping Systems Marketing team making every moment memorable. And the cherry on top? We’re thrilled to share the news that our film clinched the prestigious 2023 Cannes Corporate Media & TV Silver Award. 🏆✨

History // Georg Fischer is proud of it’s long history of success with roots going back more than 200 years when Johann Conrad Fischer laid the foundation. What began in 1802 with a small copper smelting plant and development works for new alloys, has since developed in to the global industrial concern we know today. Towards the end of 19th century, the company first began by producing the long-standing malleable cast iron fittings, thereby creating the basis of today’s division GF Piping Systems. Today, it is established as a leading supplier of piping systems for the safe and reliable transport of liquids and gases.
